Venture Capital: Update Synapse
Turim MFO held this week a webinar on the global scenario of Venture Capital (VC).
The event addressed the challenges to understand investment trends around the world, in addition to identifying and investing in exceptional entrepreneurs, capable of developing businesses with innovative models on a global scale.
The conversation was coordinated by Wolney Betiol, founder of Synapse Venture Capital, and included the participation of Rodrigo Guedes Xavier and Emilio Umeoka, General Partner and Venture Partner of Synapse, respectively. In the chat, the speakers also detailed Synapse’s Global Venture Capital Investment Platform, updating the investments made by Synapse Venture I and II vehicles.
Focused on Silicon Valley, but investing in the most mature ecosystems on the planet – including China and Israel –, the fund identifies the best investment opportunities. Wolney deepened the capital allocation strategy, aiming at the selective diversification of sectors, stages, geographies and vintages.
Speakers also addressed the most attractive sectors, as well as the timing of funds and investee companies.
“Overall, the portfolio companies are well positioned, growing in the market and improving their products. In addition, they have cash to sustain a phase of further scarcity of capital that is likely to come”, Wolney commented.
Faced with an optimistic atmosphere, the Synapse platform is prepared for any future events that directly impact VC investments. In this way, it is able to devise the best strategies to maximize the return on investments in the long term.
