Infrared Book Launch Reception — Tomie Ohtake
Tomie Ohtake - Infravermelho
On the evening of December 10, we hosted a special gathering in São Paulo to celebrate the launch of the book Infrared, by Tomie Ohtake, in partnership with Nara Roesler. It was an evening devoted to art, memory, and the preservation of cultural legacies.
The reception took place at Casa Ateliê, the residence where Tomie lived with her family and which today stands as a repository of her memories, ideas, and creative processes. Designed in 1966 by her son, architect Ruy Ohtake, the house was conceived from the outset as a space for artistic experimentation and hospitality—a place envisioned for production, study, the artist’s interests, and dialogue with works by other creators of her time.
The experience was further enriched by a guided visit led by Theo Monteiro, curator and researcher at Nara Roesler, who shared reflections on the work, the space, and the artist’s legacy.
For many years, Turim has supported the publication of books by important artists and cultural initiatives dedicated to the preservation of heritage and legacies.
In partnership with Galeria Nara Roesler, we were honored to sponsor the publication of Infrared, reaffirming our commitment to culture and to artistic expressions that endure over time.
