São Paulo

05 September 2024

Yesterday, September 4th, we held a breakfast meeting at our São Paulo office to discuss China’s influence on the global economy and geopolitics.

The event was moderated by Henrique Santos, CFA, Partner and Portfolio Manager at Turim, who led a discussion with Song Gao and Ming Wu, experts in Asian economics and geopolitics from PRC Macro Limited.

PRC Macro Limited is a renowned consultancy with offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, and New York, specializing in economic and political analysis of China.

During the meeting, topics such as the country’s excess savings and its impact on global deflation, the energy revolution and industrial overcapacity, outbound direct investment (ODI) and its relevance in the new world order, as well as implications for the metals market, interest rates, exchange rates, and China’s real estate sector were discussed.

The event was a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding of the impacts and transformations brought about by this economic powerhouse in the global landscape.

We would like to thank all the participants for contributing to the success of this meeting!
